Literacy is not only about articulateing and writing it is to a soil about using your imagination, wording and knowledge. I dont disagree with what the School read picture in their literacy policy to be the aims, however I do believe that the aims of literacy should be dependent on the student and not general aims. Children/ vernal people should be encouraged to seek the way the English language works for example with phonics for vocabulary, reading, writing and spelling, this leave help children and young people to have the knowledge to be able to read, write and spell with confidence.
